JLS Collaborate With Tinie Tempah, But Set Their Sights On Jay-Z

British swoon-inducers JLS recently went into the studio with Tinie Tempah, but they have admitted that they would like also to collaborate with rap superstar Jay-Z.

Tinie Tempah, who has had an incredibly successful year with hits including ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Written In The Stars’, has revealed that he will make a guest appearance on JLS's next single.

The rapper has recorded vocals for a remixed version of 'Eyes Wide Shut', a track from the band’s recent hit album 'Outta This World'. Speaking about the collaboration, JLS star Marvin Humes said: “He’s the best rapper in the country and the only person we wanted to work with, so it would be silly not to make this a single.”

However, JLS also revealed that they’ve got their eyes on bigger a bigger prize. The band hinted that they would love to work with rap overlord Jay-Z: “Obviously if Jay-Z wanted to be on a track we wouldn’t say no, either, but our UK fan base is what’s important to us.”

Their ambition is (of course) understandable, however the more cynical among you might see their hint as a reaction to British rivals The Wanted signing a deal with Def Jam records last week.

In the interview, the band also revealed that they would be following in the footsteps of Take That and playing instruments on their next UK tour.

Jonathan ‘JB’ Gill said: "I used to play the piano and I'm going to take it up again. I feel like I've lost touch with it and I want to be able to play it on stage as well as on future albums."

"We all want to play our own instruments. We want to take the band forward. Take That inspired us. We've already decided what we're playing. I'm playing drums and Oritsé is on guitar." Added Marvin Humes.
