The Black Crowes will embark on their final eight shows in Europe from July 7th to July 18th, includng shows at Manchester's Academy and two shows at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. These final shows will conclude the band's 20th anniversary tour after the band recently announced they are going on an indefinite hiatus to spend time with family and work on other projects.
On their 2010 'Say Goodbye To The Bad Guys' U.S. Tour, The Black Crowes -Chris Robinson (vocals/guitar), Rich Robinson (guitar), Steve Gorman (drums), Sven Pipien (bass), Luther Dickinson (guitar) and Adam MacDougall (keyboards) - played two sets (one acoustic, one electric) most nights, varying songs each night with hits, deep album cuts, new music and select covers, illuminating their 20-year career of cosmic American music.
In anticipation of the upcoming lengthy hiatus, the band recorded and released 'Croweology' their first-ever double acoustic album, which features new arrangements of their best-loved songs and the band’s catalogue picks. In a four-star Rolling Stone review, David Fricke said, “the album is much better than a greatest-hits affair, it’s a reason to go on,” while the Boston Globe’s Zeth Lundy called The Black Crowes “one of the country’s most underrated and misunderstood bands.”
The Black Crowes have announced the following UK Shows as part of their 'Say Goodbye To The Bad Guys' World Tour:
11th July 2011 – Manchester Academy
12th July 2011 – O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
