Emily Baker, Christian Cuff, Fiona Sally Miller & Will Kevans Confirmed For Lost Highway UK Tour

The highly renowned South East club night “The Lost Highway” club have announced they will be taking the club night and a selection of their favourite emerging acts on a tour of the UK. The Lost Highway is best known for hosting the best in new Acoustic/Americana/Blues and Alt Country bands from across the UK and guarantees captivating performances from all acts appearing on the tour.

The much loved club night recently mentioned in Sunday Times Culture magazine as “a night which discovers a new generation of talent” is packing its bags and is promising to inspire fresh audiences across Britain.

The acts so far confirmed to play include the award winning Emily Baker, Christian Cuff (USA), Fiona Sally Miller and Will Kevans. All headline performers in their own right.

Promoter Claire Lloyd says “The Lost Highway is an important part of the South East music scene and its great to see the buzz spreading further afield. What started as an Americana showcase has branched out to offer exposure to some incredible artists that hail from a wide range of musical backgrounds, and has become a home for many high profile international touring acts. Now is its chance to get on the highway and progress and build its way to the other areas of the UK”.

Christian Cuff – From Maine USA, will be releasing his 2nd album early 2011.  Christian is no stranger to the UK having toured here twice before.  Featured in the Times and played on Radio 2. His lyrics are beautiful in their poetic renderings - he captures the emotion of the moments in every stanza. Cuff brings a grittier vision of the forlorn than most of his contemporaries, with his gruff, atmospheric delivery and keen eye for plotting and detail colouring the low-lit landscapes of his instrumentation. www.myspace.com/christiancuff

Will Kevans – Recently Radio 2 play listed, featured in Mojo, Q, The Times, Maverick, R2, Guitarist and a huge range of other smaller magazines, toured supporting ‘The South’ earlier this year to 3-4000 people a show.  His new single goes to radio February 2011 with the release in March complete with video, press and radio campaign. Described as the thinking man’s Johnny Cash by way of Nick Lowe, Will has just signed to UK publisher Eaton Music and has signed a US Album deal with Wildflower Records.  www.myspace.com/willkevans

Emily Baker (pictured) – Winner, Arts Foundation Songwriting Award 2009 presented by Annie Lennox. Emily has toured the UK both solo and with Squeeze frontman Chris Difford; supported Jon Allen, Jesca Hoop, Beth Rowley, Frank Turner and Gabriella Cilmi; and has headlined London Songwriters Week and played London City Showcase, The Secret Garden Party and The Great Escape Festival. Pete Doherty cited her as the person who first influenced him to pick up a guitar and she was reunited with Doherty, supporting him both at Bournemouth Opera House and Hackney Empire. Her long awaiting debut album will be released end of March 2011. www.myspace.com/emilybakermusic

Fiona Sally Miller  – featured by the evening standard as an act to watch Fiona Sally Miller has already performed at the likes of the Union Chapel London and The Green Man Festival.  Her debut album is released March 2011. Yet another example of Brighton’s ongoing genius, ‘Fiona Sally Miller’ brings her effortless and summer-fuelled scope to the fold, that’s set to have you swooning and smiling all night long. www.myspace.com/fionasallymillermusic
