U2 and Beyoncé Rumoured to Headline Glastonbury

Wednesday, 09 February 2011 Written by Elliott Batte

A top UK gossip website has sparked rumours that U2 and Beyoncé will be performing alongside Coldplay at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

Coldplay were only recently announced to be headlining the Saturday of the festival, but it now seems as though both the Friday and Sunday headline spots have been taken too.

Holy Moly, the name of the site making the claims, said this: “How do we know? Secrets. We thrive on them. In fact we actually lost a couple of our best informants simply bringing this news to you. They're not dead though, we just stopped answering their calls.”

The Glastonbury line-up is probably one of the most gossiped about things in the world, with rumours flying around from all over the place – but the only people who won’t speculate about the acts are the Glastonbury organisers themselves, who neither confirmed nor denied the reports of U2 and Beyoncé appearing at the festival.

The organisers did say that they would announce the line-up in ‘due time’, but until then, we can all continue to guess/contemplate/dream to our hearts content.
