Robbie Williams Alters Take That Song On Live TV

Pop music’s long-term rebel Robbie Williams has struck again by altering the lyrics to a Take That song during a performance on live TV. The singer surprised fans by singing a new introduction to their recent hit ‘The Flood’ during a televised appearance at the Sanremo Fesitval in Italy.
Instead of singing the opening line “Standing on the edge of forever, at the start of whatever, shouting love at the world”, Williams decided to sing “Standing on the feet of our Trevor, but our Trevor was clever, shouting love at the world.”
It has not yet been discovered if the other Take That members were in on the act or oblivious to the change prior to the song. Despite the different lyrics, the rest of the band continued with the song as if nothing had happened.
The incident comes as the latest in a string of overly-quirky moves from Williams, who rejoined his Take That bandmates late last year. Most recently, the singer fuelled a Twitter storm during the BRIT awards last week as he simply repeated the word “Shabba” instead of thanks as the band picked up their award for Best British Group.
