Gwen Stefani: No Doubt Album “Will Be A While”

Gwen Stefani has stated that the upcoming No Doubt album may take longer than originally expected. The singer revealed that because of the band’s family situations and unorthodox writing methods the release will probably not see the light of day in 2011.
The recently-reformed band are currently working on the follow-up to 2001’s ‘Rock Steady’, an album which did well commercially despite earning mixed critical reviews. However, Stefani revealed that the album, which currently has no release date or official title, won’t be coming soon.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, she said: "We've been doing a record all year; ten songs have been recorded."
The singer recently developed a collection for fashion label L.A.M.B., and stated that when that work was finished she would probably write a few more songs. She said: “I don't know when it'll come out, but you never know what can happen. My band takes a weird process as well. It takes so long. And all of them just had babies, so it'll be a while."
Despite the lack of recorded substance, the band have already asserted that they plan to embark on a world tour to support the album once it is released.
