Liam Gallagher Rants About Radiohead and Mumford & Sons

Not normally known for speaking out of turn, Liam Gallagher has broken form by criticising both Radiohead and Mumford and Sons during a recent interview.

During an interview with The Quietus, Gallagher criticised Mumford and Sons for being overly humble when collecting their BRIT award for ‘Album of the Year’. He said: "I think it's alright but they were f**king ashamed about winning and that's the f**king sad bit. 'Oh, we shouldn't be here!' Then what did you join a f**king band for then?

"They bow their heads down going, 'Oh, we don't deserve it' like a f**king d**k. What's that about? You must have seen it before so don't pretend like you've just come out of a cider apple factory... Still, it's better than Take That, isn't it?"

Gallagher also talked about Beady Eye’s debut album, ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ which was released this Monday (February 28th). He responded to critics early claims that the album lacks experimentation, saying: “We're quite happy doing the rock 'n' roll thing. We just like what we do. I heard that f**king Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!' I like to think that what we do, we do f**king well.

He continued to criticise Radiohead’s recent release ‘King Of Limbs’, paying particular attention to the fact that the band had named their release after an ancient Oxfordshire tree. He said: "Them writing a song about a f**king tree? Give me a f**king break! A thousand year old tree? Go f**k yourself! You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?"
