Azari & III Unleash Video For New Single 'Hungry For The Power' - Watch Now

Monday 25th April brings the release of 'Hungry for the Power', the eagerly awaited single from Azari & III, the Torontonian foursome responsible for a clever cross-pollination of infectious retro sounds and modern productions.

Azari & III’s unique blend of brooding electronic-pop and rolling old-school house beats has earned them a much deserved following and caused a flurry across the underground music scene. The four-piece consisting of producer/DJ’s ‘Domino Azari’ (Christian) & ‘Alexander III’ (Alphonze) and flamboyant front men ‘Fritz’ & ‘Cedric’ are set to take their high-energy spectacle of a live show on the road for the first time; Azari & III will definitely be causing a storm ahead of the release of the highly anticipated album later this year.

2010 saw the release of 'Stay Here' a collaborative track between Azari & III and critically acclaimed dance-punk trio Friendly Fires. A carnival-esque track with spacey beats sparring and frenetic cowbell over eighties synths; Azari’s frontman Cedric Gaziada sings the huge chorus creating a joyful slab of house fusion.

'Hungry for the Power' is an iconic, melodic track with an inarguable contagious late-eighties house feel. The vocals are dark with stuttering synthesizer pounding graciously over a velvety soulful chorus. The track oozes with Azari & III’s signature old-school sound and has an unobtrusive amount of modern production sheen – delicious!

The video for the track was self-directed by the quartet and is a twisted spectacle of the highest degree giving the band an infamous reputation and getting banned on youtube! Azari & III’s delectable proto-house sound and mixes for the likes of Booka Shade, Munk and Le Le have set turntables spinning. Check out the video below – you have been warned!

With an impressive roll-call of festival dates confirmed for this summer there ain’t no chance in hell you’re getting away from this one!
