Lady Gaga Faces ‘Born This Way’ Plagiarism Claims

Lady Gaga is facing plagiarism claims today after a South Korean production team have identified similarities between her most recent single, ‘Born This Way’ and a song which they wrote for Korean girl band SNSD.
The claims were instigated by viewers online, who placed the two tracks side-by-side and have been debating for weeks about the originality of Gaga’s most recent single. However, the claims have become more serious today as production duo E-Tribe are said to be contacting Gaga’s representatives about the similarities between the two songs.
The duo listened to Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ and determined that the track contained enough similarities to SNSD’s ‘Be Happy’ to warrant a legal investigation. Although the representative from E-Tribe is yet to identify how the band will pursue their claims, it is clear that they believe that ‘Be Happy’ has been plagiarised.
He said: “I listened, and I do feel that there are similarities. The way the song flows and the arrangements are, honestly, the same.” The anonymous producer has now taken the issue up with Lady Gaga’s official representatives.
