The Foo Fighters have announced that they will broadcast one of their upcoming concerts to Cinemas across the U.S, ahead of their April 12th release of ‘Wasting Light’.
The American rock legends will be performing live and playing through the whole of their new album, and will be played at 80 movie theatres. The concert will begin after screenings of their documentary ‘Foo Fighters: Back and Forth’, directed by Oscar winner James Moll.
The documentary captures the making of their seventh studio album, which was recorded in singer and guitarist Dave Grohl’s garage studio. You can also watch the Back and Forth on VH1 and VH1 Classic on the 8th of April.
The first single from ‘Wasting Light’, ‘Rope’, was released on February 23rd. You can see a performance of ‘Rope’ embedded below.
Americans can locate a cinema playing the documentary and concert here.
