Fake That Face Take That For Tonight's Comic Relief

Alan Carr, Catherine Tate, James Corden, John Bishop and David Walliams have become FAKE THAT for one night only, to get the donations rolling in for Comic Relief.

The one-off sketch will be shown tonight (Friday 18th March, BBC One from 7pm) as part of Red Nose Day’s big TV extravaganza on BBC One and will be available to download from iTunes from midnight tonight.

Viewers will see James Corden become Gary Barlow, John Bishop take on Robbie Williams, Alan Carr morph into Mark Owen and Catherine Tate sport a cropped hairstyle as she becomes Jason Orange. David Walliams becomes Howard Donald again for the first time since his ‘Rock Profile’ programme with Matt Lucas over a decade ago.

The sketch sees the five comedians take to the stage for a Take That tribute band audition, with none other than the real Take That sitting behind the judges table. They go to extreme lengths in a bid to impress the man-band, with the use of props, numerous costume changes and complicated choreography.

David Walliams said: “Being in a boyband for the day was really tiring. We had to do all the dance moves – but when Take That did it they were like, 22 – I’m 39, and I just thought ‘I can’t handle this’!”

John Bishop said: “It was great being in a boyband – except one of us was a girl and none of the rest of us are boys. Obviously it’s a good cause, but aside from the charity it was just a great day, I’d have paid to do it.”
