The Wanted and former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke will perform at a huge open-air show at Lake Meadows, Billericay this summer. The show will be part of a weekend packed full of live music which also includes a performance from Peter Andre.
Taking place on Saturday August 6th and Sunday August 7th, the concerts were organised after Basildon Council axed the Billericay Gala Weekend. Previous year's have seen the likes of Will Young and Katherine Jenkins perform, drawing hundreds of music fans to the area.
Peter Bowditch, chairman of Billericay Town Council, said: “I have really enjoyed the last three summers, with concerts from Katherine Jenkins, Will Young and the Proms. We are looking forward to using Lake Meadows for these types of concerts.”
The Wanted are set to headline Saturday's show with Alexandra Burke providing support for the boy band. Peter Andre will headline on Sunday.
