For over twenty-five years Sepultura have been delivering a brutal mix of metal, hardcore, thrash and punk. The frenetic thrash metal outfit has a hardcore sound which is balanced with intelligent lyrics dealing with political and environmental issues as well as the standard death and despair you would expect.
On July 6th last year, Sepultura signed with Nuclear Blast Records with plans to release their first album for the label in 2011. By the end of 2010, the band had begun writing new material and entered the studio to begin recording their twelfth album with producer Roy Z (Judas Priest, Halford, Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson, Helloween).
Early this month, March 1st, Sepultura finished recording their new album, entitled 'Kairos', which is expected to be released in late spring/early summer 2011. The album will also include cover versions of Ministry's 'Just One Fix' and The Prodigy's 'Firestarter', both of which are rumoured to be made available as bonus tracks on various special-edition releases.
