The Strokes, Friendly Fires And The Vaccines Confirmed For BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend

The Strokes, Friendly Fires and The Vaccines have all been added to the line-up for this year’s Radio 1’s Big Weekend. The bands are the latest additions to an already-impressive line-up set to play at the event, which will take place this year in Carlisle Airfield on May 14th and 15th.

Noah and the Whale, Pulled Apart By Horses, Everything Everything, Panic! At the Disco, Magnetic Man, The Joy Formidable and Two Door Cinema Club have also been named as acts added to the BBC billing.

It was confirmed yesterday that Lady Gaga would be headlining the event alongside Foo Fighters, The Black Eyed Peas and My Chemical Romance. Tickets for the event will be allocated by ballot, with registration opening this morning at the BBC Radio 1 website. It has been confirmed that only 40,000 tickets will be made available for this year’s event.
