The Strokes Announce UK, European And North American Shows For Reality Awaits Tour

The Strokes have announced their Reality Awaits Tour.
The Grammy-winning New York band will kick off the trek with the North American leg running from June 12 to September 20, beginning with a headlining set at Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tennessee, and wrapping up with a show topping the bill at Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Other stops include Chicago’s United Center, Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, Boston’s TD Garden, two dates at Morrison’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, as well as festival appearances at Just Like Heaven in Pasadena, Shaky Knees in Atlanta and Outside Lands in San Francisco. They’ll also headline Japan’s Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka on August 14 and 15, respectively.
The European leg is scheduled for the autumn and features shows at The O2 in London on October 6, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena on October 25, Manchester’s Co-op Live on October 26 and Dublin’s 3Arena on October 28, alongside dates in European cities including Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, Bologna, Barcelona and Paris.
They’ll be joined by Thundercat, Cage The Elephant, and Hamilton Leithauser on select dates of the North American leg, with Fat White Family and Alex Cameron joining for the UK and European run. Tickets for all shows go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (April 17).
The announcement comes on the heels of The Strokes’ appearance at weekend one of Coachella festival in California and follows news of their seventh studio album, and first in six years, ’Reality Awaits’, due out on June 26 via Cult Records/RCA Records. The band introduced the Rick Rubin-produced record last week, confirming its June 26 release and sharing its first single, Going Shopping. Their most recent studio album came in the form of 2020’s ’The New Abnormal’.
