Primal Scream have announced a UK tour for later this year.
The Scottish band will celebrate their sixth studio album, ’XTRMNTR’, with a two-night homecoming at Glasgow’s Barrowland on September 3 and 4, followed by dates in Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester, Bristol and London, where they’ll play HERE at Outernet on September 15.
The shows will see the band run through ’XTRMNTR’ in full, following a special 25th anniversary performance of the album at London’s Roundhouse last December, where they also paid tribute to Gary “Mani” Mounfield, who played bass on the record and died last November.
Ahead of the tour, Primal Scream will play shows across Europe this summer, returning for appearances at Splendour Festival in Nottingham and Truck Festival in Oxfordshire in July, and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth in August.
Tickets for their new shows go on general sale at 10am on Friday (April 17). Their previously announced summer dates are on sale now.
The band hit the road last year for their Come Ahead World Tour in support of their 12th studio album, ’Come Ahead’, released in 2024, followed by the remix collections ’Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 1 (Vocals)’ and ’Come Ahead: The Remixes Vol 2 (dubs)’ last spring.
Primal Scream have also announced initial details of The Bunker Trilogy, a set of expanded reissues of ’Vanishing Point’, ’XTRMNTR’ and ’Evil Heat’, with more information to be shared soon.
