More acts have been announced for this summer's Splendour Festival.
The event will return to the grounds of Wollaton Park in Nottingham, with Liverpool indie trio The Wombats headlining the Saturday (July 18), and BRIT and Grammy-nominated band Snow Patrol topping the bill on Sunday (July 19).
New additions include Primal Scream, Craig David, Estelle, Cast, Editors, The K’s, The Flaming Lips, The Lathums, Kingfishr, Neville Staple from The Specials, The Pigeon Detectives, The Sugarhill Gang, Say She She, Divorce, alt blk era, Hard Life and The Futureheads.
Also announced are EMF, Luvcat, The Clause, The Rosadocs, Cherryholt, The Cheap Thrills, JayaHadADream, Men An Tol, Villanelle, Saffron Gray, People Laughing, M60, Marvin's Revenge, Archy and the Astronauts and Pastel, plus the return of Vicky McClure and Our Dementia Choir.
Organisers have also confirmed the return of Day Fever, the daytime disco created by Vicky McClure with Johnny Owen and Jon McClure, while as night falls, The Beatles Dub Club returns, followed by BBC 6 Music's Craig Charles bringing funk and soul grooves. Anton Lockwood, DHP Family Director of Live, said:
"I’m delighted to say that Splendour is back with another huge line-up, featuring massive chart-topping anthems from the likes of headliners Snow Patrol and The Wombats, mixed with the singalong classics of Craig David and Estelle, some of our favourite new music from Kingfishr, Divorce, and alt blk era, plus a range of indie icons and entertainment for the whole family."
Last year, the festival hosted Richard Ashcroft, Kaiser Chiefs, Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Billy Ocean, The Specials, James, The Human League, Happy Mondays, Bananarama, Jake Bugg, Madness, The Darkness, Pet Shop Boys, Calvin Harris, and Paolo Nutini, among many others.
