Noel Gallagher has shown his displeasure at having to look at a giant poster of Russell Brand, according to reports. The ex-Oasis musician is said to have demanded a different hotel room during a recent stay in Los Angeles, because his room faced a giant billboard of the British comedian.
According to The Sun, Gallagher told hotel workers that he would have to move rooms, as the singer said he wasn’t able to stand the sight of his friend Russell Brand looming over the hotel room the whole time. Gallagher is in L.A. recording tracks for his as-of-yet untitled solo album.
The singer is remaining surprisingly muted about the project, claiming on TalkSPORT Radio last month that he hadn’t even begun work on demos.
Russell Brand is currently promoting his upcoming film Arthur. Speaking about Gallagher’s decision, Brand said: "Noel's in LA at the moment and outside his hotel window he said all he can see is a great big billboard for Arthur. He said they showed him the room and the bloke asked, 'Is there anything you'd like to change, sir?' He said, 'Yeah. That fucking poster. I want another room', so they moved him."
Noel Gallagher and Russell Brand have been friends for the past few years, often appearing on side-projects and radio together.
