Foo Fighters Set for Theater Performance To Promote New Album

Six-time Grammy ® Award-wining rockers Foo Fighters have joined CBS Interactive Music Group’s ‘Live on Letterman’ webcast mini-series.

The band, fronted by rock legend Dave Grohl, will be appearing live in New York’s Ed Sullivan Theater to put on a multi-platform performance – and are there to promote their new release ‘Wasting Light’, which comes out April 12th (the same day as the theater performance).

Prior to their performance, the band will be appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman to discuss the band’s new album.

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, the band's seventh studio album, Wasting Light, was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Grohl's home in California's San Fernando Valley. The no computers/no software back-to-basics approach has resulted in arguably the most cohesive effort of the band's career. From the first single, "Rope," to the frenetic opener, "Bridge Burning," to another standout, "These Days," to special guest spots from Bob Mould ("Dear Rosemary") and Krist Novoselic ("I Should Have Known"), Wasting Light showcases how this band, who has headlined arenas, stadiums and festivals the world over, can strip itself down to the bare essentials and come up with an exciting new release.

Any liks or extra information will be updated on Stereoboard as it happens.
