Cheryl Cole Planning Duets With Rihanna And Katy Perry

Cheryl Cole is said to be looking to recruit a number of high-profile names to help with her upcoming siege of the US music market. The Girls Aloud singer, who is currently prepping material in the hope of making waves in America, has reportedly attempted to secure collaborations with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry to help boost her profile stateside.

The ‘X Factor’ judge is planning to release an amalgamated version of her first two LP’s, putting together the biggest tracks from ‘3 Words’ and ‘Messy Little Raindrops’ with a selection of new material.

However, it would appear that Cole isn’t confident that her own talents would suffice to make an impression in the US. M is for Music quote an insider as saying: "Cheryl's management want her to become the next big popstar in America and are working on securing some A-list names for the album. A Rihanna duet is a certainty and Will.I.Am is trying to convince Minaj to work on the LP too. Katy Perry has also been in talks with Cheryl about a duet, as she is a big fan."

There is also speculation that Cole is keen to work with big guns Beyonce and Britney Spears, but has accepted that such major collaborations may be a goal for the future, taking a long time to achieve.

Meanwhile, Stereoboard reported yesterday that Girls Aloud are supposedly planning to reunite as a four-piece without Cole. The remaining members have been backed by Louis Walsh to plan a tour in 2012, when they would be celebrating a decade since the group’s original formation.
