Cheryl Cole Confirmed As US ‘X Factor’ Judge

Cheryl Cole has been confirmed as a judge on the debut American series of singing competition ‘The X Factor’. The geordie singer has faced months of speculation as to whether she is suitable and recognisable enough to fill the panel position, but in an official statement last night the show have announced that she is their definite choice.
According to BBC News, the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer will join pop mogul Simon Cowell and Antonia LA Reid on the judges panel, with one spot still left unconfirmed.
Cole issued a statement about the news yesterday (May 5th), expressing her excitement about the position. She said: "I'm so excited to be taking part in the American version of 'The X Factor'. I just can't decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent, or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me."
She continued: “He's tried to beat me for three years in the UK and hasn't even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this."
Simon Cowell also declared his excitement, adding: "I'm thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show and has been fantastic to work with. She is also a complete brat. Most importantly, this girl can spot talent."NOTE FROM THE EDITOR
