Cornwall’s Eden Sessions Announce Full Line-up for Their 10th Year

Monday, 09 May 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Following the news of confirmed headliners Primal Scream, Pendulum, Flaming Lips, Fleet Foxes and Brandon Flowers, organisers of Cornwall’s Eden Sessions have revealed the full line-up for the upcoming summer festival, which is now in its 10th year. The 2011 event will also mark the 50th Eden Session with Fleet Foxes’ performance on 1st July. See below for full line-up.

The Eden Sessions, which has taken place at the Eden Project near St Austell since 2002, will now feature a full day’s line-up at each date of the event. The newly-announced acts include Liam Frost, The Travelling Band, Quails and Cardiff’s Under The Driftwood Tree.

The daytime programme will be split between the Stage Right Stage, situated next to the main arena, and the Biotik Stage, which is in the Mediterranean Biome. Biotik is the result of a long-term collaboration between the Eden Project and Cape Farewell, a creative project that brings artists, scientists and communicators together to engage people in the subject of climate change.

Speaking about this year’s event, Eden’s Director of Music John Empson said: “The beauty of the Eden Sessions is that they inspire the unexpected. We celebrate diversity in culture and, over the last ten years, are proud to have delivered some landmark moments. There will be some magic moments on the way in 2011. Here's to the next ten years of Eden.”
