Summer Sundae Weekender Add Warpaint to Line-up and Fourth Night of Music

Organisers of Leicester’s Summer Sundae Weekender have revealed LA psych-rock quartet Warpaint as the latest addition to the August festival’s line-up. The band, who released their debut album ‘The Fool’ at the end of last year, have been confirmed for the guest slot on the event’s Drowned in Sound Stage.

The festival organisers have also announced that this year’s Summer Sundae Weekender will kick-off with a fourth night of music at Leicester’s O2 Academy on Thursday 11th August. The evening will mark the first time in the festival’s 10-year history that Summer Sundae Weekender has featured a fourth night of music. The Thursday night will include DJ sets from Radio 1's Jaymo and Andy George as well as live performances from Fenech-Soler and Polarsets.

Summer Sundae Weekender 2011 will take place at De Montfort Hall and Gardens in Leicester on 11th – 14th August. Acts previously announced for the festival include Everything Everything, Graham Coxon, Toots and the Maytals, The Maccabees and Kitty, Daisy and Lewis. See full line-up below:
