With the legendary Lord of space rock Dave Brock at the helm, ex-Gong synthesiser player Tim Blake on keys and Theremin, Mr Dibs on bass, long serving drummer Richard Chadwick, and Niall Hone guitar, Hawkwind bring their unmissable and spectacular stage show featuring dancers, stilt walkers, psychedelic lighting and projections to four UK venues this December.
Releasing their latest studio album, 'Blood of the Earth', in July last year, the new record marked Hawkwind’s first new studio release since 2005’s 'Take Me To Your Future'. The album is comprised of brand new Hawkwind tracks alongside the first ever studio recording of 1974’s 'You’d Better Believe It' and a new 2010 version of Dave Brock’s 1984 solo release 'Sweet Obsession'.
The album was made available as a limited edition 2CD, the second disc of which contains live tracks and an exclusive interview. Live tracks include 'Tide of the Century' taken from Tim Blake’s 2000 solo album of the same name, and a cover version of 'Long Gone' recorded for Mojo's Syd Barrett special edition of The Madcap Laughs.
Hawkwind will play the following UK shows:
