Turin Brakes Announce 'The Optimist' 10th Anniversary UK Live Shows & Tickets

Modern folk-rock duo Turin Brakes have announced a string of live shows where they will perform their classic album 'The Optimist' for it's 10th Anniversary.
Making folk-rock fashionable again, Turin Brakes arrived with 'The Optimist' as their 2001 debut album. Combining melodic acoustic sounds with an indie vibe to make perfect lazy afternoon songs, the duo have often been compare to many new acousitc bands that surfaced in the late 1990s such as Elbow and Starsailor.
On each record, Turin Brakes try to change their sound. While the 'The Optimist' album featured a lot of acoustic guitar, 'Ether Song' featured more electric guitar and was in total a lot darker. The third album 'Jackinabox' can be seen as a combination of the first two, with some funk influences.
Their new tour will see them perform 2001 debut album 'The Optimist' in celebration of its 10th Anniversary.

Turin Brakes Tickets are onsale from 9am on Friday 17th June priced at £18.00 for regional shows and £23.00 for London shows.
