Canadian punk band Fucked Up have released a bizarre new video to their track ‘Queen of Hearts’, which also happens to be their first-ever music video. See below to watch the re-imagining of the song, which was filmed in a remote schoolhouse in northern Ontario. ‘Queen of Hearts’ is taken from Fucked Up’s new album ‘David Comes to Life’, which recently charted in the UK upon its release.
After completing a tour of the UK last month, the band have also announced that they will be returning to the UK for a couple of live dates in August, including one at London XOYO with LA hardcore group Off! – see below for dates and tickets. Fucked Up will also be performing at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
Fucked Up released their third album ‘David Comes to Life’ earlier this month. Named after a track from their 2006 debut ‘Hidden World’, the album is a punk rock opera of sorts, which follows the story of protagonist David and his love for Veronica. In 2008, Fucked Up released their second album ‘The Chemistry of Common Life’, which went on to win Canada’s prestigious Polaris Prize – the Canadian version of our own Mercury Prize.
