London-based rockers Deep Cut are releasing a new single and album in the coming months, following their successful summer which saw them featured by the BBC at this year’s Glastonbury festival.
The band’s second album ‘Disorientation’ is due for a 5th of September release, but will be preceded by the first single ‘Something’s Gotta Give’, which will see light on August 8th. The band have posted the track onto Soundcloud where you can give it a listen.
As with their debut 'My Thoughts Light Fires', Deep Cut produced ‘Disorientation’ within the band, recordings taking place in their rehearsal space with overdubs happening in Mat and Emma’s front room. They also create all the visuals that will accompany the album with a little help from Mat’s father, once a designer for the likes of Smash Hits and Zigzag magazine and perhaps the reason why the young Mat Flint became so obsessed with music. Mat said:
“This is all about being creative and making music that resonates with us and others rather than chasing some elusive notion of fame.
“It’s about making music that we are proud of rather than something that fits into a scene.”
The album’s tracklisting can be seen below.
1. Inner Star
2. Dead Inside Your Heart
3. Next Disaster
4. Magazine
5. Something's Got To Give
6. Decision Time
