Indie folk outfit Peggy Sue, a.k.a Peggy Sue and the Pirates, have announced that they will be touring the UK following the release of their second album ‘Acrobats’, out September 12th.
‘Acrobats’ is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s debut ‘Fossils and Other Phantoms’, which came out in April last year. With a heavier sound promised on this LP, the band decided to only use their usual acoustic guitar once and opted for the electric for every other song. The signature tribal percussion and duet vocals remain, though, so you can still expect the usual Peggy Sue sound - just with a more aggressive tone.
And like any respected rock/indie band, a new album means a new tour, and Peggy Sue didn’t disappoint. The band has scheduled theirs for mid-September, starting in London and travelling clockwise around the country until they finish in Leeds. The London show will also feature Laura Gibson. Dates for the tour can be seen below, as well as a streaming version of the first track from ‘Acrobats’.
September 12th – The Lexington, London
September 14th – The Railway, Winchester
September 15th – The Louisiana, Bristol
September 17th – The Deaf Institute, Manchester
September 18th – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
