Demi Lovato Unveils New Video For ‘Skyscaper’ – Watch Now

Friday, 15 July 2011 Written by James Conlon
Demi Lovato has unveiled the emotional video for her upcoming single ‘Skyscraper’, her first release since entering rehab late last year. The promo sees the Disney star in passionate form, blasting out the lyrics in her own in a desert environment. Speaking about the track, Lovato described the song as a “symbolic” message about her personal revival. Speaking to E!, she said: “It just didn't feel the same, so we kept the original one. For me it was... so symbolic, it being the song I recorded before treatment and yet it was providing a message.

She continued: "It's so crazy the way things played out, that it ended up being my symbol and it represented what I'm trying to spread the word about: getting help and rising above any issues that [I and] my fans are dealing with."

The 18-year-old also went on to describe the new single as “like therapy”, adding: “I kept crying, I was so emotionally invested... That's when I realised, that's what music videos are all about."
