Chimaira Set to Finally Tour UK?

Metalcore militants Chimaira look like they’ll be heading out on tour next March after we found two dates circulating the internet suggesting the band could be lining up a 2012 UK tour.

Chimaira have been writing and recording their album since early on this year but have now finally finished work on what will be their 6th studio effort. Set for a release on August 16th, ‘The Age of Hell’ will take Chimaira on tours across the world – with the UK set to be graced by the metal heads at long last.

The Cleveland-based band have had a disastrous past when it comes to UK tours, after cancelling their previous two headlining trips after planning them for months. They haven’t played as top bill in the UK for a number of years and the last time they were here, it was as Trivium’s support act. But, hopefully for British Chimaira fans, a spring 2012 tour looks in the pipeline.

The two dates that we can show so far are for the 20th of March in Colchester’s Art Centre, and on the 24th at the Great Hall in Cardiff – we cannot confirm these dates yet, but we will bring you latest Chimaira news as soon as it emerges.
