Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed - Engaged or Not Even a Couple?

It has been the talk of showbiz town in recent days, but no matter how much you gossip and speculate about it, no-one is sure of the relationship status between Gene Simmons and his long-term partner Shannon Tweed.

The couple have been on and off with each other (although still a couple) for over 28 years, and have two children together. They also share a reality program called Gene Simmon’s Family Jewels, which just finished its sixth series – and just weeks after Tweed walked out in Simmons live on TV (watch below), the former Kiss man proposed to the Canadian actress in Belize.

But, unfortunately for fans, viewers were left with the oh-so-aggravating message we all know so well... ‘To Be Continued’. So the show has left us draw our own conclusions – did she say yes? Did she say no? Was it all a joke? Is the proposal a business thing rather than a romance thing? After broadcasting his proposal to his girlfriend of almost 30 years on television, their relationship ‘status’ seems at its most unclear.

In the run-up to the proposal, Shannon literally walked off stage saying it was ‘over’ during an interview between the couple and Joy Behar on Joy’s show. The two constantly argued and genuinely looked disgusted with each other – although Gene did say he wanted to stay with her and urged her to come back on stage – which she refused. Yep, it genuinely looked a little like a break-up. But just a month later, there she is, on television, getting proposed to by the man she had left cold on stage.

So the only people who really know right now are Gene and Shannon (or perhaps just Shannon!?), but we promise to keep you up-to-date with their relationship as soon as we know the truth here at Stereoboard.
