Jason Derulo Unveils New Album Artwork & Details Of New Single 'It Girl'

Having recently scored his second UK Number One hit single with ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’, Jason Derulo looks set for a quick return with the release of his new single ‘It Girl’ on September 19th.
The song's accompanying video was shot by renowned director Colin Tilley (who has previously worked with Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Usher, Diddy, Ciara) and features actress Tika Sumpter from 'Gossip Girl'. It is far different from what we’ve come to expect, as Derulo explains, “It’s a 1920s vibe, it’s black and white, very high fashion, you know, you’ll see me very dapper, Frank Sinatra-ish. So you’ll see the cars from that era, you’ll definitely feel the vibe of the house having that 1920s vibe as well. So it’s very different and very intimate — it’s more personal.”
Forthcoming new album ‘Future History’, which will be released on September 26th, represents a progression in Jason Derulo’s sound with greater eclecticism than ever before. "I like to write music based on who I am as a person, and this is far different from the first one,” says Derulo. “On the first one I didn't have club tracks because I hadn't experienced that at all, and on this one my first record is about the most amazing party you've ever been to."
 Having sold over 17 million singles and a million copies of his debut album, Jason Derulo is now established as one of the world’s biggest pop stars.
