Blink-182 have unveiled a new track from their upcoming comeback LP, the energetic ‘Heart’s All Gone’. The song is the second to appear from their sixth studio album ‘Neighbourhoods’, following on from lead single ‘Up All Night’, which received mixed reviews when it was debuted last month. You can listen to ‘Heart’s All Gone’ at the bottom of this article.
'Heart's All Gone' will sit well in the ears of Blink-182 purists, with fast-paced guitar strokes and a punk-pop beat reminiscent of their earlier material. ‘Neighbourhoods’, the first release since their self-titled effort in 2003, is set for release on September 26th. It has not yet been announced if ‘Heart’s All Gone’ will appear as a single.
Meanwhile, Mark Hoppus recently discussed the tone of ‘Neighbourhoods’ in an interview with Winnipeg Free Press. Speaking to the paper, the bassist described the LP, saying: "It's really all over the place in the best possible way. There are things on there that sound like the last Blink-182 record, there are things that sound like when Blink first started, there's stuff that sounds like stuff we've never done before. We've brought elements of all the different projects we've been involved with since Blink and made a really great Blink album."
When asked if there was any tension when the band initially decided to reform, Hoppus stated: “We never even talked about it — we're guys. You know, we sat together in a room. We were like: 'Are we cool now?' 'Yeah, we're cool.' 'OK, great’. The bygones were bygones."
Blink-182 are currently appearing on the US Honda Civic tour with My Chemical Romance. You can listen to ‘Heart’s All Gone’ below:
