One Direction Unveil Debut Single 'What Makes You Beautiful' – Listen Now

One Direction have unveiled their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful'. The young boyband received their first ever play on BBC Radio 1 this morning, welcoming a positive reaction from their hoards of young female fans.
The band shot to fame through their finalists place on the 2010 series of the ‘X Factor’, before signing on to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label. The band have been recording their currently untitled debut LP in Los Angeles over the past year, and you can listen to lead single 'What Makes You Beautiful' at the bottom of this article.
Speaking about playing the single on national radio for the first time, Harry Styles said: "We're so excited to get the single finally out there. When we were recording in the studio we knew instantly that we wanted this track to be our first single."
Zayn Malik continued: "I think the album is going to surprise a few people. It's very individual to us. We wanted to make sure that it was our sound."
‘What Makes You Beautiful’ will be released on September 11th along with B-side 'Na Na Na'. No release date has been given for their debut album at present, but it is believed that the band are planning for an autumn release.
