Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce Free London Show

In the build-up to their anticipated live UK return, The Red Hot Chili Peppers have unveiled plans to play a free London show next month.

The band, who recently released their new single 'The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie', will play London's Koko on September 2nd. The special show will mark the release of the band's tenth studio album, 'Im With You', which is set for UK release at the end of the month, August 30th.

The Chili's have already confirmed details of their ten-date November UK tour, however, a lucky few fans will get to see them for free at Koko a near two months ahead of the start of their arena tour. BBC Radio 1 are the organisers behind The Red Hot Chili Peppers' free show and tickets are to be given away via a ballot that fans can sign up to on Radio 1 website www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/events/rhcp

In addition to the London show, Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, are bringing their new album 'Im With You' to the global stage with a song-by-song live concert performance, via satellite to select movie theatres around the world, including more than 450 theatres in the U.S.

The band will perform the entire album in sequence, followed by some of their greatest hits in a special high-definition cinematic event, 'Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: Im With You'. It is the first - and only - time the new album will be performed in its entirety by the band. Tickets for 'Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: I'm With You' are on sale now at participating cinema box offices.

'Red Hot Chili Peppers LIVE: I'm With You' concert will also be transmitted to movie theaters in Europe, Canada and Latin America. Delayed showings are planned in Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. Additional cinemas/countries may be added. Presently, over 900 cinemas worldwide will present the in-theater concert event.
