The Scorpions 'Big City Nights' Documentary To Accompany Final Farewell World Tour

The Scorpions, one of the most popular rock bands on the planet, and the most successful to emerge from Germany, are to be immortalised in a documentary called 'Big City Nights – The Scorpions Story'.

Following forty years and over 2,000 concerts across sixty different countries, The Scorpions are to call time on what they have been doing for decades, giving a final farewell to their fans and making the final curtain call. The documentary, 'Big City Nights – The Scorpions Story', will be a fitting accompaniment to their final trek across the planet, highlighting all the emotions from the fans, crew and of course the band.

Dates for such a tour are still to be confirmed, however, details suggest that The Scorpions will perform more than 200 concerts during their final three-year tour, recording a farewell CD with original and covered material along the way.

Their final run of shows are still quite a way off but the band, fans and everyone involved with The Scorpions know the final farewell is now on the horizon.

Delving back to the formation of the band, featuring archive material and footage, 'Big City Nights – The Scorpions Story' will take fans through the most important moments, the happiness, the sadness, setbacks and despair experienced by one of the world's most popular rock groups.

The 90-minute documentary, produced by Deutsche Welle and directed by Katja Von Garnier, will be premièred in early 2013. A DVD will also be made available.

Stereoboard will bring you more details on The Scorpions' final run of shows as and when they're announced.
