Joe McElderry Confirms Classic UK Tour & Tickets

Following on from our story yesterday, X-Factor winner Joe McElderry has confirmed his first ever UK tour.

The singer, famed for his rendition of ‘The Climb’ by Miley Cyrus, will play at 16 venues this November as he promotes and perform tracks from his new album. His latest record ‘Classic’ came out today in Ireland and will see a release on Monday over here.

He also let fans know that they would get a special pre-sale of tickets for this tour while posting on Twitter earlier this week. He wrote: “Exclusively announcing my first UK tour 16 dates this Nov Special presale for my fans from Tue 23 Aug. Watch out for my tweet with the link.” He has also talked about his new album recently.

“It’s not going to be pop,” said McElderry of ‘Classic’. “It’s going to be a lot of big, lush ballads. I wanted to do a few more ballads on my first album. It’s going to appeal to all my fans.

“I’m going to sing a few Italian songs. I’m not going to change my voice – I don’t want to scare people too much... I can’t reveal which label it’s with but it’s an amazing label.”

November 18th - Middlesbrough Town Hall
November 20th - Dundee Caird Hall
November 21st - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
November 22nd - Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
November 23rd - York Barbican Centre
November 25th - Reading Hexagon Theatre
November 26th - Brighton Dome
November 27th - London Royal Festival Hall

Tickets for Joe McElderry are on sale Friday 26th August.
