New York Businessman Requests Extra Police to Help With Thrash Metal Fans

Thrash metal kings Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax are already causing commotion on the streets of New York – just under a month before they actually play.

After seeing Metallica fans run riot in the streets of Chile and Columbia, Cary Goodman, executive director of 161st Street BID, has insisted that the local authorities draft in extra police ahead of the Big Four concert in the Yankees Stadium next September 14th.

South American concert goers turned nasty after finding out they wouldn’t be getting into the Metallica gigs, but Goodman thinks that the government will be able to prevent similar incidents in New York this autumn by increasing the presence of police, erecting large TV screens that stream the concert and also by bringing in extra sanitation crews.

Goodman said: “When I read about disturbances and riots, I thought, ‘Why don’t we think proactively and put up a big screen in Macombs Dam Park?’ Everybody's gonna want to dance.”
