Beady Eye Reveal UK Tour Support

Liam Gallagher and his new band Beady Eye have announced who will support them on their up and coming UK tour.

Beady Eye play five UK dates this November, including gigs in London’s O2 Academy Brixton and the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, and will be joined by The Hippy Mafia, a five-piece consisting of ex-Happy Monday’s Gaz Whelan and four friends.

The Hippy Mafia started when Gaz and two of his Mancunian mates decided to move to Toronto, Canada for no real reason whatsoever. Following the move they managed to meet two West Indian folks who were massive fans of Manchester-based bands like Oasis, and share the three English boys’ love for The Beatles. After they all got on sweetly, they decided to form a band – and the Hippy Mafia was born.

With a sound that has been described as ‘what the Beatles would sound like if they were black”, The Hippy Mafia have now managed to progress as a band and their hard work has paid off with a supporting role Beady Eye’s debut UK tour – which will be their only British tour dates of the year.

If you want to catch The Hippy Mafia alongside Beady Eye this November, check the dates and details below.
