Background Dancer from Rebecca Black's 'Friday' Releases Own Music Video - Listen Inside

Yes, it’s the news you’ve ALL been waiting for. Benni Cinkle, a.k.a ‘that girl in pink’, has released her own music video less than a year after the shockingly bad original video ‘Friday’ hit YouTube.

Cinkle, a school-mate of Rebecca, appeared in the original video back in March and since gained infamy with slightly disturbed users on internet forums worldwide, who affectionately (ew) named her ‘that girl in pink’.

But, not to be left in the shadows by her 13-year old friend, the young girl donned her internet moniker and recorded ‘Can You See Me Now’, which challenges teenage pregnancy, bullying, homophobia and apparently bulimia in young children – quite controversial and tough subjects to be facing for a 14-year old singer who gained her fame by awkwardly dancing in the background of the “world worst song”.

Still, with lyrics like ‘You are here right now/Dance with me right now/Dance with me, with me/Stand up and shout/Dance with me now’, how could the singer not make a lasting impression on the youth of today? I’m sure bullying figures have dropped heavily since the release of the track.

While the song is arguably better than Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’, it surprisingly hasn’t fared as badly with the internet trolls that destroyed ‘Friday’, leading to Black removing the video from YouTube – though it is still being attacked.

So who is the queen of poorly-produced, terribly lyric’d viral music videos? Take a listen to ‘Can You See Me Now’ below and tell us who wins: Black or Cinkle?
