Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst is set to make an appearance on the upcoming First Aid Kit album, according to reports. The duo, which is comprised of sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, recorded their latest studio effort in Omaha with Bright Eyes musician and producer Mike Mogis. However if recent reports are to be believed, the ‘Four Winds’ singer also ventured behind the microphone to assist on the pair’s latest effort.
‘The Lion’s Roar’ is currently scheduled for release on January 23rd next year, and is said to be a complete family affair with the girls’ father Benkt also performing bass on the LP. Both Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes have lent their instrumental talents to the album.
Oberst is believed to be performing on a track entitled ‘King Of The World’, which also sees the sisters collaborating with The Felice Brothers.
First Aid Kit will perform a one-off show in London’s Bush Hall on December 6th, following on from their US tour in support of Lykke Li.
You can watch the official video for First Aid Kit’s ‘Ghost Town’ below. The track is featured on their fantastic debut album from 2010, ‘The Big Black & The Blue’.
