Chapel Club to Debut Songs from Forthcoming Second Album at October Dates

London post-punk quintet Chapel Club have revealed that they will be previewing new material from their as-yet-untitled second album at next month’s tour. At some of the band’s festival appearances over the summer such as Reading and Leeds, they performed three new tracks from the forthcoming follow-up to this year’s ‘Palace’. They have now announced that they will be unveiling more new tracks at their upcoming dates – see below for details and tickets.

The band have also confirmed that they will be performing two sets on each night of the October tour, which includes their largest headlining show to date at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. One set will include tracks from ‘Palace’ and their earlier ‘Wintering EP’, while the other will be entirely made up of new material.

Speaking about the forthcoming album, Chapel Club frontman Lewis Bowman said: “We all have a lot of love for the songs [on Palace] and we love that so many people have taken them to their hearts. But when we wrote them we were still learning how to write songs together. Now we have a bit more experience, we're better able to explore the possibilities. Everything feels freer and fresher and more relaxed and more exciting. Hopefully the new songs reflect that.”

Support on the tour will come from Clock Opera, except in London and Portsmouth, where Elephant will provide support. Other Lives will be the main warm-up act in London.
