Lil Wayne To Retire At 35

Multimillion-selling rapper Lil Wayne has revealed that he will most likely retire at 35.

The 29 year-old had previously wrote that he’d retire in his early 30’s, but, after saying he wants to spend a lot more time with his family, he has now said that he’d probably last out until 35 before he calls time on his illustrious yet controversy-filled career.

The Louisiana-born artist told GQ: “Basically, I have been doing this for 18 years, that's reason number one. I have accomplished all that I have set out to accomplish and more.

“Six years I can do this Lil Wayne thing, and my boys will be about 7 and 8 years old. And man, it's all about them then. Whatever they're into.”

His family isn’t the only thing that’s playing a part in his decision to end his rapping career, as Wayne continued on to say he’d like to work on working with the artists signed to his record label Young Money, which has Drake and Nicki Minaj among other artist signed.

“I have a label and I've only put out two artists, I have a lot more work to do and it'd be selfish to not focus on being the boss and focus on their projects.”
