Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Not Drunk When He Fell In Shower

Aerosmith’s party animal frontman Steven Tyler has claimed that he was sober when he accidentally tripped and fell in his shower, knocking out his teeth and badly bruising his head.

ImageThe incident caused Tyler to cancel one of the band’s shows in Paraguay, and many fans were unhappy as they assumed the fall was caused by alcohol. But today, Tyler has come forward to say he was simply affected by a stomach illness on the night, and that he wasn’t drunk or high at all.

“I passed out,” Tyler explained. “I was in the shower and I got nauseous, and I started to get sick and I fell on my face. I just passed out. I woke up wondering where the hell I was.”

When asked if he was drunk or on drugs at the time of the event, he replied “I get that people think that, but no that's not the issue.”

It’s not the first time Tyler’s misfortune has caused a show to be cancelled – a handful of Aerosmith dates were called off after the singer fell off stage and broke his arm back in 2009.
