Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber can be seen rapping on his latest single and video ‘Drummer Boy’, a cover of the Bing Cosby classic.
The new track will also see veteran lyricist Busta Rhymes laying down a verse, while Bieber tries to make a name for himself as a rapper – he’s already told his millions of Twitter followers that he his rap alter ego is ‘Shawty Mane’.
The track features the line: “I'm playing for the king, I'm playing for the title/ I'm surprised you didn't hear this in the Bible” – so you can see the lyrics that Bieber fans are going to have to work with. While Bieber is a teen Disney-esque star with countless impressionable young fans, when he raps, he’ll still take the usual route of having a dig at another star in his lyrics, too – he quipped: “Hello Mr. Brady / Tell him to leave his hair to the guy who sings 'Baby,” when Tom Brady was accused of having a similar hair cut to the star.
