Cashier No. 9 Release New Single Ahead of UK Tour – Listen Now

Saturday, 29 October 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Belfast-based folk rockers Cashier No. 9 have released a music video for their latest single ‘Oh Pity’ – watch below. The track is the latest to be taken from the band’s debut album ‘To the Death of Fun’ following last month’s ‘Lost at Sea’. Next month, Cashier No. 9 will embark on a full headlining tour of the UK – see below for dates and tickets.

The album ‘To The Death of Fun’, which came out in June, is produced by acclaimed Northern Irish DJ and film score composer David Holmes. Holmes has composed scores for films such as ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ and its two sequels as well as producing his own albums including ‘Let’s Get Killed’, ‘Bow Down to the Exit Sign’ and ‘The Holy Pictures’.

Cashier No. 9 have previously performed at a number of high-profile events including London’s Electric Proms, where they represented Belfast, Brighton’s Great Escape festival and Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland. More recently, they appeared at Hyde Park’s Wireless festival and last month’s Bestival. They also coincided the release of ‘To The Death of Fun’ with a sold-out date at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen in London.
