Coldplay Duo Confirmed For Mencap's Little Noise Sessions

Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland have been booked in to do a performance on one of Mencap’s exclusive Little Noise Sessions this November 24th.

The sessions will be organised by Jo Whiley and will also feature a number of other musicians and artists, who all support the headline duo Martin and Buckland. Other acts include Ben Howard, Emeli Sande, Michael Kiwanuka and Bebe Black.

Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions have been a remarkable success and many of their shows have required extra tickets to satisfy demand to see headline acts such as Example, Elbow and Goldfrapp. The company also have King Creosote, Marina and the Diamonds and Sinead O’Connor lined-up to front some of their shows, which take place from November 22nd to November 27th.

“Jo does amazing work for Mencap, we are thrilled she asked us to play and are honoured to be part of this special night,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told press. Mencap is a charity which supports people with learning disabilities.

Whiley is equally excited at the up and coming gigs, and said: “We are delighted to welcome the return of Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland to headline an extra special night for Mencap’s Little Noise Sessions. With a week of unbelievable shows, this year is set to be one of the most exciting and inspiring we’ve had to date. I can’t wait!”

Tickets for the gigs go on sale to the general public on November 7th, while Mencap members will get a pre-sale starting on November 4th. The artists and dates of the gigs can be seen below.

Mencap Show Nights are as follows:

Tuesday 22nd November – Elbow, Maverick Sabre solo performance, Ren Harvieu
Wednesday 23rd November – Marina & The Diamonds, Icona Pop, Spark
Thursday 24th November – Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland, Ben Howard, Emile Sande, Michael Kiwanuka, Bebe Black
Friday 25th November – Goldfrapp, Alpines
Saturday 26th November – Example, Ed Sheeran, Birdy, Fenech Soler
Sunday 27th November – Sinead O’Connor, King Creosote
