INXS Kick Off Tour with New Frontman Ciaran Gribbin

Iconic rock band INXS pulled off one of the hardest tasks a band can see in the music world – they managed to rock-out an audience and put on a great show despite swapping their famed ex-frontman Michael Hutchence with Northern Irish singer-songwriter Ciaran Gribbin.

Their stunning debut, at Jardin de la Cerveza in Arequipa, Peru, kicked off the band’s new South American tour on November 3rd. And, while the crowd were visibly impressed by the band’s new vocalist, Gribbin was pretty excited and happy himself...

“I had the best night of my life singing with INXS in Peru,” Gribbin admitted. “The band was on fire and the wonderful audience was so up for it—a truly awesome experience that I will cherish forever.”

INXS performed for over two hours to the Peruvian fans rocking out to some of their greatest hits such as ‘Mystify’, ‘Suicide Blonde’, ‘Need You Tonight’ and, of course, their latest release written by Andrew Farriss and Gribbin, ‘Tiny Summer’.

One fan who attended the show said: “I attended the show in Arequipa, and I have to say that INXS exceeded by far my highest expectations. The band is so ‘neat’ and virtuous playing, and they groove so deep and hard! Mr. Gribbin is an excellent singer and a very good performer.”

Well, he’s received the seal of approval from Peru – now he’s just got to take on Australia, Holland, France and Belgium. Check the dates and details below if you need tickets to those shows.

INXS tour dates are as follows:

December 3 - Perth, Australia
December 8 - Amsterdam, Holland
December 11 - Paris, France
December 12 - Gent, Belgium

Photo: Zackary Michael We already know what’s going to happen when modern day icons Arctic Monkeys release a new album. It’ll top the UK charts (check); it’ll leave critics swooning and kissing their ass (also check); it’ll be full of energy,  demonic guitar riffs and hooks (er, maybe not).
Frank Turner - Be More Kind (Album Review)
Mon 14 May 2018
Frank Turner’s sound has changed little over the course of his 13 year career as a solo artist. The edges have been smoothed somewhat, while the instrumentation has grown more varied (and, when it needs to be, lavish), but his feelgood folk-punk USP has remained the same.
