Indie Supergroup Mister Heavenly Release New Video to ‘Bronx Sniper’ – Watch Now

Saturday, 12 November 2011 Written by Rob Sleigh

Indie supergroup Mister Heavenly have unveiled a video for new song ‘Bronx Sniper’, which is taken from their debut album ‘Out of Love’, released earlier this year through Sub Pop records. The band are made up of Modest Mouse/The Shins drummer Joe Plummer, Ryan Kattner of Man Man and Nick Thorburn from Canadian groups Islands and The Unicorns. Watch the video for ‘Bronx Sniper’ below.

Mister Heavenly are due to play their debut UK live date in London next month – see below for date and tickets. ‘Superbad’ and ‘Juno’ actor Michael Cera once toured with Mister Heavenly as their live bass player, although he will not be joining the band on their forthcoming dates.

Speaking about the band’s earliest days, Nick Thorburn said: “We floated around getting different people to sing on each song, or making only one song, or making no songs at all but continuing to talk about Mister Heavenly as though it were a real thing with its own genre.”

Going on to talk about their first few tracks, he added: “The songs were dark and strange but oddly addictive. They really sounded like a mash-up of our styles but at the same time a wholly new entity.”
