Cheryl Cole Forced To Cancel Children In Need Rocks Manchester Gig Appearance

Ex-Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has unfortunately been forced to cancel her appearance at Manchester’s Children in Need gig after the singer contracted pharyngitis.

Cole was due to appear alongside many big names, including Gary Barlow, Coldplay and Lady Gaga, but has had to call off her set as she’s come down with an illness, which causes ‘sore throat, discomfort, pain, scratchiness in the throat and painful swallowing.’

A spokesperson told the Metro: “Cheryl Cole has sadly had to pull out of a performance at CIN Rocks this week as she is suffering from pharyngitis.”

Gary Barlow was particularly concerned with Cole’s health, and said: “We are watching this space at the moment because Cheryl has been ill over the weekend. So fingers crossed, it’s all going to be all right.”

The cancellation means Cheryl will have to wait even longer to make her live comeback, and with no real shows scheduled other than the Children in Need gig, it could be a lengthy wait for fans. Stereoboard will be the first to let you know when the Geordie star is ready to make her return.
